Role Summary

Enable 1–2 agile squads to deliver high-quality HCM features predictably. You’ll coach on agile best practices, run ceremonies, remove impediments, manage dependencies, and protect the team’s focus—while partnering closely with Product, Engineering, QA, Design, and Customer teams.

What You’ll Do

• Agile Facilitation:

  Run sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retros with crisp time-boxing and outcomes.

• Delivery Orchestration:

  Maintain sprint goals, manage dependencies and risks/RAID, and coordinate with adjacent squads (Scrum of Scrums/PI planning when needed).

• Backlog Partnering:

  Work with Product Owners to keep a clear, prioritized, and estimated backlog; uphold

  Definition of Ready/Done

  .

• Impediment Removal:

  Unblock engineers quickly (environments, test data, decisions), escalate early, and track to closure.

• Quality & Flow:

  Champion test-first habits, CI discipline, and sensible WIP; make work visible in Jira and drive healthy flow (cycle time, lead time, escape defects).

• Stakeholder Comms:

  Provide concise status to leaders and partner teams (what changed, why, impact, next steps).

• Continuous Improvement:

  Convert retro actions into tangible experiments; nurture a culture of psychological safety and accountability.

What You’ll Work Across

• Modules:

  Core HR, Leave & Attendance, Payroll touch-points, PMS.

• Initiatives:

  New features, hardening/quality sprints, scale/performance, and cross-module integrations (high-level coordination).

Must-Have Qualifications

• 3+ years as a

  Scrum Master

  for product engineering teams (SaaS preferred).
• Strong command of Scrum/Lean/Kanban and practical, team-friendly application (not dogmatic).
• Proven experience improving delivery predictability and team health in

  multi-team

  environments.
• Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and crisp written/verbal communication.
• Tools:

  Jira

  , Confluence, GitHub, and a whiteboarding tool (Miro/FigJam).

Nice to Have

• HCM/HR-tech domain familiarity (workflows, approvals, payroll touch-points, attendance/PMS cycles).
• Exposure to release trains/PI planning, trunk-based development, and automation-friendly practices.
• Certifications (PSM I/II, CSM, KMP) are a plus—real outcomes matter more.
