Job Description

Primary Responsibility:

Ind Food and Beverage Association (IFBA)


  • Sectorial food manufacturers like Dairy, Edible Oils, Namkeens, Indian Sweets, QSR, Confectionery, Beverages (including Tea, Fruit Juice Based Beverages, Carbonated Beverages, Energy Drinks, Packaged Drinking Water etc.)
  • Nutraceutical manufacturers,
  • Packaging material manufacturers,
  • Testing labs,
  • Trade associations etc.


They leverage a blend of following skills to enhance compliance and provide advocacy to address key business contingency issues to the member organizations:

  • Deep scientific knowledge,
  • Regulatory expertise,
  • Crisis management skills and,
  • Project management skills

A.     Scientific and Regulatory Support (40%)


  1.  Facilitate scientific and regulatory submissions to various regulatory authorities including FSSAI, Legal Metrology, MoEFCC, BIS and other Ministries as per the prescribed timelines.
  2. Support Regulatory services like Label Adequacy, FSMS Training, FSMS Audits as per the scope of services provided by the member organization.
  3. Advocacy support to member organizations to address on-going industry / sector specific regulatory concerns.


B.      Member / Client Servicing (30%)


  1. End-to-end servicing to at least 5 member accounts as per agreed scope of work which includes but is not limited to day-to-day support (SRA opinion, debriefing about the new regulations, label reviews etc.), trainings, sensitizing about the potential business risks across verticals, enhancing regulatory compliance.
  2. Coordinate with all members for scientific support documents for further submission to concerned authorities as per potential business risk.
  3. Coordinate with nutritionist, food scientist / technologist, dieticians to create positive image of processed and packaged foods.
  4. Execution of client / member specific projects.


C.      Knowledge, Research and Insights (10%)


  1. Ideate and develop potential research topics that can support existing and prospective members in enhancing businesses.
  2. Collaboration with different scientific research institutions like ICMR-NIN, NIFTEM, IARI etc. for various subjects that impair the policy making process.
  3. Prepare white papers and research kits for further submission to the concerned authorities / members.



D.     Day-to-Day Coordination for IFBA (10%)

  1. Coordinate and Support the communication events like webinars, conferences, roundtables etc. hosted/partnered by IFBA to achieve desired objectives.
  2. Participate in Industry meetings to achieve the defined objectives and voice member concerns at these larger industry platforms.
  3. Release IFBA Newsletter as per defined frequency.


E.      Outreach to New Potential Members (10%)

  1. Research on market and identify business opportunities to drive new membership.
  2. Support new member or new food and beverage industry project outreach activities. 

 

Minimum Education Qualification:

Graduate in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Chemistry, Food Nutrition.  

 

Minimum Experience:

5 - 6 years of working experience and interest in science.

 

Desirable Attributes:

Good flair in English

Computer fluency in MS-office
