Description
We are looking for an experienced SAP Business Objects (BO) Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our Business Intelligence (BI) reporting environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of the BO platform, along with supporting end-users, scheduling reports, and troubleshooting issues. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, upgrade, and patch SAP Business Objects (BOBJ) environments. Manage BO servers (CMS, FRS, Adaptive Job Server, Adaptive Processing Server, etc.). Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot recurring report jobs and instances. Administer security roles, user access, and folder permissions using CMC . Perform backup and recovery operations and manage platform stability. Collaborate with development teams for report deployment, publishing, and validation. Identify and clean up stale or redundant reports and instances. Troubleshoot performance issues and coordinate with infrastructure teams as needed. Support migrations between environments (Dev, QA, Prod). Document procedures, configurations, and system changes. Required Skills & Qualifications: 6+ years of experience as a BO Administrator. Strong knowledge of SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.x architecture. Experience with CMC , BO Designer , Web Intelligence , Crystal Reports , IDT/UDT , and BOE SDKs . Familiarity with database connections (HANA, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.). Hands-on experience with user security , report scheduling , and instance management . Understanding of reporting best practices , performance tuning , and auditing . Experience in troubleshooting logs , server restarts, and patching. Knowledge of Unix/Linux scripting and Windows servers is a plus. Exposure to ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA) and production support. Nice to Have: Exposure to Snowflake , SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) , or Power BI . Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and automated deployments . BO certification or SAP-related certifications.
