Job Title: Sales Trainer K-12 Education Sector

Job Summary:

Sales Trainer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Deliver Training:

    Develop and deliver engaging onboarding and ongoing training programs for sales representatives focused on selling into the K-12 education market.
  • Product Knowledge:

    Ensure the sales team is well-versed in the features, benefits, and competitive advantages of our K-12 solutions (curriculum, edtech tools, platforms, etc.).
  • Sales Skills Development:

    Train reps in sales methodologies, consultative selling, objection handling, pipeline management, and territory planning.
  • K-12 Market Expertise:

    Educate the sales team on the structure of the K-12 system, key decision-makers (e.g., superintendents, principals, curriculum directors), funding cycles, and purchasing processes.
  • Sales Tools Enablement:

    Provide training on CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), sales engagement platforms, and other tools used in the sales process.
  • Assessment and Coaching:

    Observe sales calls, provide feedback, and coach sales reps to continuously improve performance and win rates.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

    Partner with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure training reflects the latest product updates, go-to-market strategies, and customer feedback.
  • Performance Metrics:

    Measure training effectiveness through KPIs such as ramp time, quota attainment, win rates, and sales productivity.

Requirements:

  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree required; degree in Education, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience:

    • 3–5 years in a sales training, sales enablement, or sales leadership role.
    • Experience in or selling to the

      K-12 education sector

      is

  • Skills:

    • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, both in-person and virtual.
    • Deep understanding of sales processes and the K-12 education buying cycle.
    • Ability to analyze sales data and training effectiveness.
    • Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Tech Proficiency:

    Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), LMS tools, and content authoring tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Former educator or administrator experience is a plus.
  • Experience in edtech, curriculum sales, or SaaS in the education space.
  • Certification in sales training programs (e.g., Challenger, Sandler, MEDDPICC) is a plus.
