Castrol, a global leader in lubricants and part of the bp Group, is looking for a Sales Trainee based in the East India region to drive profitable volume and revenue growth in the designated territory through effective implementation of the company's sales strategy. Key Responsibilities: - Achieve targets for revenue, reach, and profitability - Drive customer advocacy for Castrol among key retailers and workshops - Ensure adherence to selling and service routines through Distributors - Develop a team of competent DSR, FMR, and SO - Conduct monthly distributor performance reviews, identify actions to close performance gaps, and drive accountability for sales results - Complete detailed plans and handle sales processes in the region with a focus on acquiring new customers - Compliance with bp's Code of Conduct, Values, Behaviors, and HSSE Standards - Utilize Customer Relationship Management tools to lead account relationships and territory management - Utilize digital tools such as Salesforce, Power BI, Tableau, Castrol Insights, and TurfView Qualifications Required: - Experience of 1-2 years in channel sales, with experience in handling distributors and Third Party Management - Ability to drive a four-wheeler for work, involving 15-20 days of travel outside the base location - Possession of a valid four-wheeler driving license - Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology, preferably in Mechanical/Automobile/Chemical/Production/Electrical - Commercial Acumen, Customer Profitability, Digital fluency, Negotiation planning, Territory Management, and other relevant skills Note: This position requires up to 75% travel, is not eligible for remote working, and may be subject to local policy adherence including drug screening, medical fitness review, and background checks.
