Job Description

The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for generating and managing catering sales to achieve revenue goals. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with clients, planning and executing catered events, and ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction. The manager coordinates with internal departments such as culinary, operations, and banquet teams to deliver seamless event experiences.

Key Responsibilities:Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve or exceed catering sales targets.
  • Identify new market segments and pursue potential clients through prospecting, networking, and sales calls.
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and event orders for clients.
  • Maintain a database of corporate, social, and wedding clients for repeat and referral business.
  • Conduct site visits, presentations, and tastings for prospective clients.
  • Participate in local networking events, trade shows, and community organizations to promote catering services.

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary contact for all catering clients from inquiry to event execution.
  • Customize proposals and menus to meet client needs and budgets.
  • Provide detailed event planning support, including timelines, floor plans, and special requests.
  • Ensure timely communication with clients and address any changes or concerns promptly.
  • Follow up post-event for feedback and to foster long-term relationships.

Event Coordination & Execution

  • Work closely with the culinary, banquet, and operations teams to ensure flawless event execution.
  • Attend pre-event meetings and on-site functions to oversee service quality and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure all event details are accurately captured in Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  • Manage last-minute adjustments and troubleshoot any issues during events.

Financial Management

  • Assist in developing the annual catering budget and forecast.
  • Prepare and analyze sales reports, revenue projections, and performance metrics.
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts to maximize profitability while meeting client expectations.
  • Monitor payment schedules, deposits, and billing accuracy.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional materials and campaigns for catering.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to event coordinators and support staff.
  • Conduct post-event debriefs with operations and culinary teams to evaluate performance and client feedback.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹11,711.15 - ₹49,215.60 per month
