About the Role

Business Development Intern

This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to strengthen their sales, client management, and strategic communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Indoor Business Development

  • Conduct market research to identify potential leads, client segments, and partnership opportunities.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls to engage with prospective clients.
  • Schedule demos, meetings, and follow-ups with stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update CRM tools and lead trackers.

Outdoor Business Development

  • Visit institutions, coaching centers, and corporate offices to pitch products in-person (as needed).
  • Represent Yolearn.ai at events, exhibitions, seminars, and networking sessions for lead generation.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with prospective clients.

Pitching & Client Engagement

  • Deliver compelling and structured product pitches tailored to client needs.
  • Address client queries, objections, and provide necessary information.
  • Participate in client meetings, demos, and presentations both online and offline.

Proposal Drafting & Documentation

  • Draft well-structured proposals, quotations, and business documents for clients.
  • Customize proposals based on client requirements and feedback.
  • Ensure accuracy and professionalism in all BD-related documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of sales processes and customer engagement.
  • Ability to pitch confidently in both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Good research skills and a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong ownership mindset.

Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)

  • Prior internship or academic experience in sales, marketing, or business development.
  • Understanding of the EdTech landscape or SaaS products.
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
