Role Overview

Sales Engineer – Simulation Solutions


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities for Design and Simulation products and services.
  • Engage with engineering teams, decision-makers, and procurement to understand technical and commercial needs.
  • Promote Altair and Siemens simulation tools (e.g., Hyperworks, Simcenter, NX, etc.) and related solutions.
  • Collaborate with technical team for technical discussions ,product presentations and demos.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction post-sales.
  • Work towards achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and negotiate commercial terms.
  • Track market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  • Update and maintain CRM records for leads, opportunities, and sales pipeline.


Desired Candidate Profile

  • Education:

    B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or related engineering discipline.
  • Experience:

    1–3 years in software/technical sales, preferably in CAE, CAD, or PLM domain.
  • Strong interest or background in engineering design and simulation.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and willing to travel.
  • Ability to understand and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
