This position will focus on providing 24/7 support to Boeing commercial airplane customers. Job Title Product Analyst - Propulsion Systems Structural Engineer Job Purpose - The CAE Structural engineer for Propulsion Systems components and subsystems, acts in the support and technical direction to obtain optimized engineering solutions, through the execution of numerical simulations and the application of their knowledge and experience, with regard to dynamic behavior and structural integrity of driveline and axles. Interacts mainly with the Powertrain / Vehicle design and testing teams, working from the early stages of product development to diagnoses of problems and failures. Job Duties and Responsibilities Perform analysis and CAE reports of Propulsion Systems components or subsystems, focusing on dynamic behavior and structural integrity of complete driveline and axles Dynamic Durability and fatigue simulation of components and subsystems with focus on driveline and axles including fatigue evaluation of welded areas Development of driveline torque calculation tools for axle and driveline sizing, providing critical inputs for design and development. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering is preferred) Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in product development (preferably in the automotive area) working with Transmission/Driveline Dynamic and Structural CAE Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Thorough knowledge of the English language including both written and oral communication General knowledge of vehicle Propulsion Systems including internal combustion engines, transmissions, axles, drivelines, and e-Motors Deep knowledge of transmission and driveline design and validation Deep knowledge of welding process simulation and welding modelization and fatigue analysis Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (i.e. casting, forging, machining and assembly). Deep knowledge of ANSA ,Hyperworks (Hypermesh, Hyperview. Optistruct or Nastran) and Abaqus for implicit and explicit analysis, Femfat for fatigue.
