Sales Engineer

You will be responsible for generating sales for Atlas Copco air compressors by engaging with domestic and multinational companies. Your daily tasks will include conducting field visits to generate inquiries, identifying potential business opportunities, and developing leads through various methods such as cold calls, consultant meetings, and OEM interactions. You will be expected to convert leads into orders and maintain and update opportunity lists and sales funnels. As part of your role, you will need to create competitive and technically aligned proposals, address compliance differences with customer requirements, and prepare key sales documents, including potential client lists and visit schedules. Timely delivery and post-shipment query responses are crucial aspects of the job. Collaboration with consultants, clients, and third parties to complete sales engineering tasks will be necessary, along with conducting project site visits to understand client requirements and challenges. Maintaining a client database for efficient cross-referencing and fast response times is essential. Additionally, you will be expected to continuously learn and adapt to improve processes and solutions. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 1 year of industrial sales experience, preferably with capital equipment. Basic knowledge of rotating equipment is advantageous. Proficiency in engineering tools, basic computer skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Experience with bid management and creating technical/commercial quotes is preferred. You should be able to work independently with minimal supervision and be willing to travel domestically to meet clients onsite.
