Job Description

Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure
work permit approvals
and compliance as per site procedures.
Conduct
daily safety inspections
of warehouse operations, equipment, and PPEs.
Identify hazards and prepare
Risk Assessments (RA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Method Statements
.
Monitor and report
non-compliance issues
and ensure timely corrective actions.
Conduct
Toolbox Talks (TBTs)
and
daily safety briefings
for all warehouse personnel.
Report and investigate
near-misses, incidents, and accidents
.
Provide
induction training
to all contract workers and employees.
Inspect and ensure safe operation of
vehicles, cranes, forklifts, stackers, scaffolding, and tools
.
Maintain and update
safety documentation and records
.
Ensure
statutory EHS compliance
under applicable laws and regulations.
Coordinate with site EHS teams, contractors, and workers for safety implementation.
Manage
emergency response systems
, conduct
mock drills
, and maintain fire safety equipment.
Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement in warehouse operations.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Bachelors degree or diploma or B.Sc. with ADIS/PDIS
Minimum
4–6 years of experience
in warehouse safety, preferably in the
pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry
.
Strong knowledge of
EHS regulations
,
risk assessment
, and
emergency preparedness
.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Proficient in
MS Office
and safety documentation.
