Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Risk Assessment Management:
Conduct comprehensive Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (
HIRA
), Job Safety Analysis (
JSA
), and Job Compatibility Checks (
JCC
) for routine and non-routine operations.
Permit to Work (PTW) System:
Oversee and strictly enforce the
Permit to Work
system, ensuring all high-risk activities (hot work, height work, confined space entry, etc.) have valid permits and necessary safety controls.
Chemical Safety Oversight:
Utilize your chemical background to supervise the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Review and maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and compatibility charts.
Site Inspections & Audits:
Conduct regular daily and weekly walkthrough inspections to identify unsafe conditions and monitor PPE compliance.
Incident Investigation:
Investigate accidents, near-misses, and dangerous occurrences using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Training & Drills:
Organize and deliver safety inductions and specialized training programs. Lead emergency response mock drills and firefighting exercises.
