Role & responsibilities Pre-Sales Engineer who will be responsible for conducting comprehensive automation application studies at customer sites. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in understanding end-user requirements and translating them into feasible, efficient, and cost-effective automation solutions. This position demands a strong grasp of automation hardware and software, a strategic mindset, and excellent communication skills. Visit customer sites to study and analyze automation applications and existing setups. Understand and evaluate electrical panels, PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and their integration. Study and assess mechanical jigs, fixtures, and tools used in production/assembly lines. Review and analyze line automation, conveyor systems, and cable layouts. Work with customers to scope project requirements, define deliverables, and develop automation concepts. Prepare technical and commercial proposals, including budgetary estimates. Interface and plan integration with robots, RFID systems, vision systems, and servo drive applications. Coordinate with internal engineering teams for concept validation and solution architecture. Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark against alternate solutions and optimize cost/performance. Ensure alignment of proposed solutions with customer pain points and process requirements.
