About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Risk & Compliance Team Lead to lead a team of risk analysts who are engaged in handling the compliance operations for one of our strategic clients at The Kaptive. The role demands a strong background in handling operations in risk and compliance. We also expect the candidate to bring proficiency in team leadership, and a practical approach to implementing frameworks that enable operational excellence.  

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments, has a strong background in running operations and knows how to build, lead, and scale compliance operations teams. 

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence & Controls

  • Drive steady-state operations with strong focus on accuracy, turnaround times, and volumes. 
  • Design, implement, and oversee SOPs, process controls, and risk frameworks. 
  • Run dashboards, MIS, and governance decks to provide full transparency into compliance performance. 
  • Conduct internal audits and health checks to ensure ongoing compliance readiness. 

People & Leadership

  • Hire, mentor, and grow a high-performing compliance team and build career paths and learning journeys for analysts, ensuring they move up the value chain in compliance operations. 
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. 

Strategic & Digital Transformation

  • Engage with the Compliance & Operations leadership at our client’s organization to have periodic governance meetings   
  • Lead continuous process improvement initiatives and drive automation-led compliance transformation. 
  • Maintain structured knowledge repositories (e.g., SharePoint) to ensure process consistency. 

Stakeholder Management

  • Be the bridge between Business leadership and compliance teams—aligning strategy, execution, and outcomes. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, HR, Quality, Product, and Customer Experience teams to deliver measurable business impact. 

 

Skills & Experience

  • 6- 10 years in operations, risk management, compliance, or audit, with at least 4+ years in a team leader role. 
  • Proven experience in managing successful client operations, with familiarity in creating dashboards and using automation tools to drive efficiency and transparency. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Shared Services / Technology sector experience is a big plus. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Risk Management, Law, or related field. 
  • Professional certifications like ACAMS, CFE, Six Sigma are highly valued.
