About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Operations Team Leader – Risk & Compliance to lead and grow a compliance operations team for one of our strategic global clients. This role requires a mix of operational excellence, team leadership, and stakeholder management, along with a strong understanding of compliance and risk frameworks.


The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing day-to-day operations, driving process improvements, and building high-performing teams in dynamic environments.


Key Responsibilities


Operational Excellence & Controls

  • Oversee daily compliance operations with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain SOPs, process controls, and governance frameworks.
  • Run dashboards, MIS, and compliance reports to track performance and ensure transparency.
  • Conduct periodic checks and internal audits to maintain compliance standards.

People & Leadership

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of risk and compliance analysts.
  • Create structured career growth and training opportunities for team members.
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Process & Transformation

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
  • Maintain updated knowledge repositories and documentation for operational consistency.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance compliance operations.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the point of contact between compliance operations and client leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal functions (Finance, HR, Product, Quality, Customer Experience) to support business goals.
  • Participate in governance meetings and represent compliance performance to senior stakeholders.


Skills & Experience


  • 6–8 years of experience in operations, risk, compliance, or audit, with 3+ years of team management experience.
  • Proven experience in managing successful client operations, with familiarity in creating dashboards and using automation tools to drive efficiency and transparency.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Shared Services / Technology sector experience is a big plus.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Risk Management, or Law.
  • Certifications like ACAMS, CFE, Six Sigma are a strong advantage.
