Position Overview

The Revenue Cycle Specialist oversees end-to-end financial processes in a healthcare setting, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and strict regulatory compliance. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and strong collaboration across clinical, billing, and insurance teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced remote environment and is comfortable working US EST hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Payment Posting and Monitoring
• Accurately post payments from insurance companies and patients.
• Track accounts receivable, identify overdue balances, and follow up to secure timely payments.
• Insurance Claims Management
• Prepare, submit, and monitor insurance claims in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Handle appeals for denied claims to optimize revenue recovery.
• Insurance Verification and Patient Communication
• Confirm patient insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations before services.
• Generate patient statements, explain outstanding balances, and resolve inquiries.
• Data Analysis and Collaboration
• Analyze revenue cycle metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Partner with clinical staff, billing teams, and insurance representatives to streamline processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Certification in Revenue Cycle Management or equivalent is a plus.
• 2+ years’ experience in healthcare billing, collections, and insurance processes.

Technical Skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and billing software.
