As an Assistant Manager — Retention Marketing, you will play a key role in driving user engagement, retention, and loyalty through innovative, data-driven marketing initiatives. You will design, execute, and optimize multi-channel campaigns and customer lifecycle journeys that increase repeat usage and enhance customer lifetime value.
• Plan, execute, and optimize retention campaigns (email, push notifications,Email, SMS, in-app,
etc.) to drive user engagement and reduce churn.
• Manage and improve customer lifecycle journeys across acquisition, onboarding, engagement,
win-back, and loyalty.
• Collaborate with Product, Tech, and Design teams to implement personalized and automated
communication journeys.
• Analyze campaign and journey performance, draw insights, and continuously improve KPIs
(retention rate, repeat rate, LTV, etc.).
• Segment audiences effectively and build targeted campaigns tailored to user behavior and
preferences.
• Monitor user feedback, market trends, and competitive benchmarks to identify opportunities
for innovation in retention strategies.
• Conduct A/B testing on creatives, messaging, and targeting to maximize effectiveness.
• Work with external and internal tools (e.g., MoEngage, WebEngage, Clevertap) to manage and
scale retention initiatives.
• 2–4 years of experience in retention marketing, CRM, or lifecycle marketing, ideally in a high-
growth, app-based company.
• Hands-on experience with marketing automation tools like MoEngage, WebEngage, Clevertap,
or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of customer segmentation, campaign management, and funnel
optimization.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-backed
decisions.
• Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
• Creative problem-solver with an eye for detail and a passion for delighting customers.
• Experience in attribution tools like Branch or AppsFlyer is a plus.
• Familiarity with writing and reviewing campaign copy is a plus.
