Job Description

Role Overview

The Store Manager will be responsible for end-to-end operations of the Hyderabad flagship store — including sales, customer experience, inventory, events, and team management. This role requires someone with a blend of retail management, hospitality, and community engagement skills.

---

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Customer Experience

Drive daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets through effective planning.

Ensure exceptional customer care — from walk-in experience to after-sales service.

Train staff on product knowledge, storytelling, and customer engagement.

Actively upsell and cross-sell lifestyle and cookware products.

2. Operations & Inventory

Oversee daily store operations, cash management, and reconciliation.

Coordinate with the warehouse team for timely stock replenishment.

Maintain visual merchandising and store upkeep to flagship standards.

Monitor inventory, returns, and damaged goods with proper reporting.

3. Community & Events

Plan and execute small-scale workshops, demos, and talks in the store.

Build relationships with chefs, artisans, nutritionists, and sustainability experts for collaborations.

Coordinate food tastings, product launches, and seasonal campaigns.

4. Team Leadership

Recruit, train, and motivate store staff.

Create weekly rosters and ensure smooth staff scheduling.

Foster a culture of accountability, warmth, and professionalism.

5. Reporting & Insights

Generate weekly/monthly reports on sales, customer feedback, and store performance.

Share insights to improve product mix, marketing strategies, and customer experience.

Work closely with the Head Office team to align the Hyderabad store with ET’s overall vision.

---

Requirements

5–7 years of experience in retail/hospitality/experience management.

Strong background in customer service, sales, and operations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to organize events, talks, and community-building activities.

Passion for traditional food, craft, and sustainable living (a big plus).

Tech-savvy enough to handle POS systems, reporting tools, and social media coordination.

Flexible to work on weekends and evenings during events.

---

Qualities We’re Looking For

Warm, approachable, and customer-first attitude.

Strong problem-solving and ownership mindset.

Detail-oriented with an eye for presentation and storytelling.

Enthusiastic about building a community hub, not just running a store.

---

What We Offer

Opportunity to lead the flagship Essential Traditions hub in Hyderabad.

Competitive salary + performance-based incentives.

Training in product knowledge, event hosting, and brand storytelling.

A chance to shape how India rediscovers its traditional kitchens and crafts.
