Retail Merchandiser

Role & responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of seasonal merchandising strategies and assortment plans.
• Monitor product performance, sales trends, and inventory levels to make recommendations for stock replenishment or markdowns.
• Only collaborate with the buying team on product selection, pricing strategies, and promotional planning.
• Analyse sales data to provide insights on customer behaviour, fast/slow movers, and category performance.
• Assist in forecasting and allocation of merchandise across retail stores.
• Coordinate with suppliers and logistics to ensure timely delivery of merchandise.
• Ensure product presentation aligns with brand standards both in-store.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on sales performance and merchandising KPIs.
• Stay updated on market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to inform product strategies.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
• 12 years of experience in a merchandising, planning, or buying role in the retail industry.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and retail systems.
• Solid understanding of retail math, inventory management, and sales forecasting.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Passion for retail, trends, and consumer behaviour.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in brick-and-mortar.
• Knowledge of visual merchandising principles
