Retail Merchandiser

As a Junior Merchandiser at Kanakavalli, you will be responsible for supporting both online and offline brand retail activities, encompassing vendor, product, and brand activity management. Your role will require exceptional organizational and planning skills, as well as a solid understanding of the systems and processes that guide your work. Your primary duties will include shadowing senior team merchandisers, collaborating with them to: - Work closely with the sales team, inventory, and vendors to plan and select merchandise for purchase and stocking. - Collaborate with vendors, sales team, and other junior merchandisers to manage orders, pre-orders, and product inquiries. - Assist in marketing initiatives by assisting with product selection and planning. - Coordinate with inventory for special request stock, such as color-ups, special orders, and collections. - Research, coordinate, and oversee pop-ups in-store and online, including special collection launches. - Manage various common merchandising tasks within the department. The ideal candidate will have a background in merchandising within a retail environment, with 1-2 years of management or merchandising experience in a luxury handcrafted/textile brand. You should possess excellent organizational and planning skills, demonstrate strong initiative, excel in data management with proficiency in Excel, and have the ability to learn quickly and adapt to growth opportunities.
