Job Summary

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring excellent customer service, managing staff, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and driving profitability. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a passion for hospitality.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control
  • Manage opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory control

Staff Management

  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise restaurant staff
  • Create staff schedules and manage labor costs
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback
  • Foster a positive, productive, and team-oriented work environment

Customer Service

  • Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction and resolve customer complaints promptly
  • Maintain a welcoming and professional dining atmosphere
  • Build relationships with guests to encourage repeat business

Financial Management

  • Monitor sales, expenses, and profit margins
  • Control food, beverage, and labor costs
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Implement strategies to increase revenue and reduce waste

Inventory & Vendor Management

  • Manage inventory levels and place orders with vendors
  • Ensure proper storage and rotation of food and supplies
  • Coordinate with suppliers to maintain quality and cost efficiency

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and restaurant operations
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Financial acumen and basic accounting knowledge
  • Proficiency in POS systems and restaurant management software

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management preferred)
  • 2–5 years of restaurant management experience

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to [XX] lbs
