(Restaurant Industry) Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Food Beverage Controller. The Food Beverage Controller will be responsible for day-to-day tasks including cost control, menu costing, and financial analysis to ensure profitability. This role will be located in New Delhi. Key Responsibilities: Cost Control: Monitor and control food and beverage costs by implementing effective inventory management procedures, analyzing cost variances, and identifying cost reduction and efficiency improvement areas. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food and beverage inventory, including stock levels, deliveries, and consumption. Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies. Purchasing and Procurement: Coordinate with suppliers to procure food and beverage items at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards. Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to optimize purchasing processes. Menu Engineering: Collaborate with the culinary team to develop profitable and cost-effective menus. Analyze menu performance, sales trends, and item profitability to make data-driven pricing and menu offerings decisions. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports related to F&B operations, including budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis. Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial performance metrics. Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements related to F&B operations. Assist with internal and external audits as necessary. Training and Development: Train and mentor F&B staff on proper inventory management procedures, cost control techniques, and financial awareness. Foster a culture of financial responsibility and accountability throughout the department. Systems and Technology: Utilize F&B management systems and technology tools to streamline processes, track performance metrics, and generate actionable insights. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in F&B management software. Forecasting and Planning: Assist in the development of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and strategic plans for F&B operations. Provide input and analysis to support decision-making processes related to resource allocation and revenue optimization. Customer Service and Satisfaction: Collaborate with F&B managers to ensure that financial goals align with customer service objectives and guest satisfaction standards. Balance cost-saving measures with maintaining high-quality service and guest experience. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management, or related field (preferred). Proven experience in F&B cost control, inventory management, and financial analysis within the hospitality industry. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and F&B management software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Certification in Hospitality Management or Accounting (e.g., CHAE) is a plus.
