Restaurant Floor Manager

We are looking for an experienced and guest-focused Restaurant Floor Manager with strong expertise in Italian cuisine and pizza service. The ideal candidate will oversee day-to-day front-of-house operations, ensure smooth service flow, maintain high standards of food presentation and hygiene, and deliver an exceptional dining experience rooted in authentic Italian hospitality.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and guest-focused Restaurant Floor Manager with strong expertise in Italian cuisine and pizza service. The ideal candidate will oversee day-to-day front-of-house operations, ensure smooth service flow, maintain high standards of food presentation and hygiene, and deliver an exceptional dining experience rooted in authentic Italian hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Floor & Guest Experience Management

• Manage daily floor operations during service hours
• Ensure warm, prompt, and professional guest interactions
• Handle guest feedback, complaints, and special requests effectively
• Maintain service consistency during peak hours

2. Italian Menu & Pizza Expertise

• Possess strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, pizza styles, toppings, sauces, and baking methods
• Guide guests on menu selections, pizza pairings, and special dishes
• Coordinate with kitchen and pizza station for order accuracy and timely service
• Ensure correct plating and presentation of Italian dishes and pizzas

3. Team Supervision & Training

• Supervise wait staff, captains, hosts, and stewards
• Train staff on Italian menu knowledge, upselling techniques, and service etiquette
• Conduct daily briefings before service
• Monitor staff grooming, hygiene, and punctuality

4. Service Quality & SOP Compliance

• Ensure adherence to restaurant SOPs and service standards
• Maintain cleanliness and table turnover efficiency
• Monitor adherence to FSSAI, hygiene, and safety norms
• Ensure proper handling of cutlery, crockery, and service equipment

5. Sales, Upselling & Cost Control

• Drive sales through suggestive selling of pizzas, add-ons, beverages, and desserts
• Track daily sales performance and cover counts
• Minimize wastage and coordinate with kitchen on portion control
• Support promotional activities and special menu launches

6. Inventory & Coordination

• Coordinate with store and kitchen teams for availability of menu items
• Monitor front-of-house inventory (cutlery, glassware, menus, condiments)
• Report maintenance or operational issues promptly

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 3–4 years of experience in restaurant operations, preferably in Italian or pizza-focused restaurants
• Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, pizza varieties, and service styles
• Excellent communication and guest-handling skills
• Ability to manage teams and multitask during high-pressure service hours
• Basic understanding of POS systems and billing operations
• Well-groomed, confident, and service-oriented personality

Education

• Graduate / Diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality preferred
• Relevant certifications in food safety or service excellence are an advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹28,000.00 per month
