The African Centre of India (ACI) is a dynamic and vibrant institution dedicated to strengthening

multilateral ties between Africa and India through research, policy analysis, cultural exchange and

educational outreach. ACI fosters collaborative efforts that promote the mutual understanding of

Africa’s role in global development and India’s role in African economic, social, and cultural contexts.

Position Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Research Intern to join our team at the African

Centre of India. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in research focused on

African-Indian relations, international development, policy, and socio-economic trends. The ideal

candidate will have a passion for current affairs, a strong academic background, good understanding

of social media, and an eagerness to contribute to impactful projects that shape public discourse and

policy.

Key Responsibilities:

 Online Research: Assist with the collation, analysis and presentation of data on a range of

topics related to African-Indian relations, including trade, diplomacy, development, culture,

and socio-political issues.

 Report Writing & Presentations: Assist in writing research papers, policy briefs, and reports.

Present research findings to the team and contribute to the development of publication-

ready materials.

 Events & Workshops: Assist with organizing and managing events, workshops, seminars, and

conferences related to African-Indian relations.

 Social Media Management: Provide support to the team in developing content and

uploading relevant material on various social media platforms.

Qualifications:

 Education: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a degree (undergraduate or

postgraduate) in Political Science, Economics, English (H), International Relations, Sociology,

Economics, Mass Communication or related fields.

 Writing Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹7,000.00 - ₹8,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Gurugram, Haryana: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
