Lifeline Foundation is seeking a dedicated and experienced Mid-Senior Researcher with a strong publication record to join our team. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in evaluating our programmes, conducting needs and impact assessments, leading systematic reviews, and contributing to peer-reviewed publications and grant proposals.

The researcher should be able to work independently, conceptualise studies, conduct evidence synthesis, and implement research projects effectively. This role is based at our office in Vadodara, Gujarat, and may involve travel to programme sites for data collection, meetings, and presentations.

Key Responsibilities

• Programme Evaluation:

  Utilise both qualitative and quantitative research tools to assess the effectiveness and impact of Lifeline Foundation's programmes.

• Research and Analysis:

  Conduct in-depth research on topics related to emergency medical services, road safety, prehospital trauma care, and related fields. Analyse data and draw meaningful conclusions.

• Literature Reviews and Evidence Synthesis:

  Conduct systematic reviews, scoping reviews, and meta-analyses to inform programme design, policy recommendations, and research priorities.

• Needs Assessment:

  Identify the specific needs and challenges of the communities we serve and contribute to the development of tailored solutions.

• Impact Assessment:

  Evaluate the outcomes and impacts of our programmes to ensure they align with our mission and objectives.

• Study Design and Implementation:

  Independently develop research studies, methodologies, and protocols to address critical issues in EMS, road safety, and public health.

• Report Writing:

  Prepare detailed reports summarising research findings, assessment results, and programme evaluations for internal purposes, grant applications, and external dissemination.

• Peer-Reviewed Publication:

  Lead the writing and submission of manuscripts to peer-reviewed journals as first author. Contribute to academic publications, policy briefs, and whitepapers to share insights and best practices.

• Proposal Development:

  Collaborate with the team to develop grant proposals, ensuring alignment with research findings and programme objectives.

• Public Speaking and Dissemination:

  Present research findings at conferences, workshops, and stakeholder meetings. Represent Lifeline Foundation in academic and professional forums.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Public Health (MPH), Epidemiology, Health Sciences, or a related field. P

  hD is preferred.

• At least 1 peer-reviewed publication as first author is required.

• Minimum 1 year of relevant research and programme evaluation experience.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting systematic reviews, scoping reviews, or meta-analyses.
• Strong command of the English language (written and spoken).
• Basic familiarity with data analysis software (e.g., Stata, Excel, or similar tools).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, conceptualise studies, and implement research projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Multiple first-author publications in indexed journals.
• Experience in grant writing and proposal development.
• Understanding of India's EMS landscape, road safety ecosystem, or prehospital care systems.
• Experience with review management tools (e.g., Covidence, PRISMA guidelines).
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills.

Location and Travel

This position is based at our office in Vadodara, Gujarat. Travel to programme sites for data collection, meetings, and presentations may be required.
