FUNDAMENTAL

QUALIFICATION:         Bachelor’s degree (Preferably in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics) OR

                                      MBA in Shipping/ Supply Chain domain

COMPUTER LITERACY: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and Python

                                       Experience/ Certification in data analysis or knowledge of Power BI

                                        is an added advantage.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

More than 3 years of experience in data-related/ forecasting/ regression analysis work

(Shipping/ supply chain industry is an added advantage)

·      Able to handle huge data sets

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

·      Strong quantitative, research, and data analytic skills

·      Ability to work independently and as part of a team

·      Ability to manage time and pay close attention to detail

·      Good communication skills

·      Good writing skills

·      To send data templates (in Excel), gather rate quotations, and compile and analyze rate data in our database.

·      To verify the completeness, structure and compliance of the data received from customers and to query doubts with customers.

·      Cleaning data and generating benchmarking reports for customers.

·      Manage huge data sets, as well as data mining and warehousing.

·      Required to maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and authenticity of data.

·      Excellent writing in English to write analysis in reports based on data gathered.

·      Prepare materials summarising data and drawing conclusions supporting key business discussions.

·      To support the Manager and Supply Chains team in testing new database products.

Skill Set

·      Self-driven, should have a flair for analyzing data

·      Good command over written and spoken English

·      Understanding of container shipping freight rate cost components

·      Team handling skill
