Regional Sales Manager

Reports to: Head of Sales, Automation Division

Location: Chennai

Sales Region: Tamil Nadu, Karnataka (Frequent visits to Ranipet, Hosur, and Bangalore areas)


Key Responsibilities:

- Business Growth:

   - Achieve monthly business value of ₹2.5 crores in the assigned region

   - Identify new business opportunities and initiate new projects with key customers

   - Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth

- Team Management:

   - Lead and manage a team of 12+ sales engineers in the region

   - Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to meet individual and team goals

   - Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback for improvement

- Customer Relationship Management:

   - Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers in the region

   - Coordinate with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements

   - Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services

- Sales Operations:

   - Develop and manage sales plans, forecasts, and budgets for the region

   - Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies as needed to meet targets

   - Ensure accurate tracking of sales data and CRM updates

- Market Analysis:

   - Stay updated on market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments

   - Analyze market data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement

Requirements:

- Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of sales experience in the automation industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

- Skills:

   - Strong leadership and management skills

   - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

   - Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth

   - Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment

   - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
