The Opportunity

Head of Sales

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership:

    Develop and implement a robust sales strategy to achieve and exceed ambitious sales targets for the Southern region.
  • Team Management:

    Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Area Sales Managers and Medical Representatives to drive performance and foster a culture of excellence.
  • Market Expansion:

    Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities to expand the company&aposs footprint and market share.
  • Key Account Management:

    Build and maintain strong relationships with key dermatologists, hospitals, and pharmaceutical distributors in the region.
  • Performance Analysis:

    Utilize data-driven insights to monitor sales performance, forecast trends, and make strategic business decisions.
  • Budgeting & Reporting:

    Manage the regional sales budget and provide regular, comprehensive reports to senior leadership.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience:

    Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical or dermatology sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing a large team.
  • Knowledge:

    Deep understanding of the Southern Indian pharma/derma market, including key opinion leaders, distribution channels, and competitive landscape.
  • Drive & Ambition:

    A highly motivated self-starter with a relentless focus on results and a demonstrated history of driving significant sales growth.
  • Leadership Skills:

    Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a passion for developing talent and building successful teams.
  • Education:

    A Bachelor&aposs degree in Pharmacy, Science, or a related field is preferred. An MBA would be a strong asset.
