Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management:

    Oversee and manage the execution of multiple construction projects in the region, ensuring all earthing installations are properly executed as per engineering specifications and local regulations.
  2. Leadership & Team Management:

    Lead a team of project managers, engineers, and site supervisors, fostering a collaborative environment and providing guidance to ensure project goals are met.
  3. Budget & Cost Control:

    Develop and manage budgets for each project, ensuring cost control measures are in place to avoid budget overruns.
  4. Schedule Management:

    Ensure that project timelines are adhered to, identifying potential delays and providing solutions to keep projects on track.
  5. Client Relations:

    Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and consistent communication regarding project status, challenges, and progress.
  6. Quality Assurance & Compliance:

    Ensure that all work complies with safety regulations, quality standards, and electrical engineering best practices.
  7. Risk Management:

    Identify and mitigate risks, develop contingency plans, and ensure that projects are delivered successfully despite unforeseen challenges.
  8. Coordination:

    Work closely with other regional and corporate teams (engineering, procurement, finance, etc.) to align project needs and ensure smooth workflow across various departments.
  9. Reporting:

    Provide regular updates to senior management on the progress of each project, including financial status, key performance indicators, and any issues requiring attention.


Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Educational Background:

    Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. A master’s degree or additional certifications in project management is a plus.
  2. Experience:

    Minimum of 15 to 20 years of experience in managing large-scale construction projects, with a focus on electrical systems. Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Technical Knowledge:

    Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and their application in construction projects.
  4. Leadership Skills:

    Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor project teams to ensure project success.
  5. Problem-Solving:

    Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify problems early and implement effective solutions.
  6. Communication Skills:

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and senior management.
  7. Project Management Certification:

    PMP, or equivalent certification, preferred.
  8. Travel:

    Ability to travel frequently within the region to oversee project sites.


Working Conditions:

  1. Full-time position based on-site with frequent travel required to project locations.
  2. Standard working hours with flexibility as needed based on project timelines and deadlines.
