DESCRIPTION

Amazon Pay seeks a dynamic Regional Sales Head to drive its rapidly growing Offline Payments business in India. This role will lead the strategic expansion of Amazon Pay's merchant network and strengthen its market presence in the region.
The ideal candidate will spearhead merchant acquisition and engagement strategies, focusing on large organized retailers/regional merchants. They will be responsible for building and managing a high-performing store engagement team, developing innovative solutions for merchant onboarding, and driving customer adoption through strategic marketing initiatives. The position requires strong people management skills and the ability to forge strategic partnerships with internal teams (BD, Program Management, Biz-Ops) and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence through process optimization and cost-effective solutions while ensuring sustainable business growth. We're looking for a leader who combines strategic thinking with execution excellence, has a proven track record in scaling businesses, and demonstrates strong analytical capabilities. Key job responsibilities 1. Drive Amazon Pay adoption among offline merchants through strategic leadership of the Store Engagement team. 2. Develop and execute regional merchant acquisition, retention and growth strategies aligned with business objectives. 3. Manage relationships with internal teams (BD, Program Management, Biz-Ops) and external partners to enhance Amazon Pay's market presence. 4. Ensure operational excellence through process optimization, cost reduction, and improved efficiency in merchant onboarding and engagement. 5. Collaborate with marketing teams to execute ATL and BTL activities, driving customer awareness and adoption of Amazon Pay. 6. Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales and engagement team, fostering a culture of innovation and customer obsession. 7. Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to increase Amazon Pay's market share through innovative solutions. 8. Stay updated with industry trends and competitor activities, proposing and implementing scalable solutions for business growth.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience
  • 4+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
  • Experience in setting up and managing a sales pipeline

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
  • Experience in online advertising or high-tech products/services
