Strong Excel skills (intermediate level) — proficiency with VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, SUMIFs, etc., and the ability to learn and apply new formulas
Basic accounting knowledge — the role will primarily focus on the SG&A accruals and expenses.
Looking for someone who understands accrual accounting and ideally has 1–2 years of experience supporting general accounting for a U.S.-based company.
Month-end closing and reporting activity support
Working on BS reconciliation, Bank reconciliation, and Fixed Assets activities
Coupa and Netsuite skills: ideally at least some working knowledge of NetSuite (upload of journal entries)
Schedule flexibility during close (approximately 10 business days) — the schedule may be irregular with some overtime and lighter days.
The candidate should be able to work during U.S. business hours (PT or CT hours) + overtime during close.
The schedule will become more consistent over time, but might be a bit hectic in the next few months.
There’s a lot more flexibility outside of close (but still need to be available during the US business hours).
Strong organization and attention to detail — while the work itself isn’t complex, it involves tracking multiple open items accurately and following up on them timely.US Shift / Thane Location
