This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Min Experience: 3 years Location: Bangalore JobType: full-time We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Real Estate Lawyer with a strong background in real estate financing and transactional legal matters to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in structuring, negotiating, and executing a wide range of real estate transactions with a particular focus on financing, compliance, and regulatory frameworks. You will be a key legal advisor to our real estate team and clients, providing counsel on complex property matters including project financing, joint ventures, acquisitions, leases, and development agreements. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Advise on and structure real estate financing transactions including loans, mortgages, mezzanine financing, and syndicated credit facilities. Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents including purchase agreements, loan agreements, lease contracts, title documents, and financing instruments. Conduct due diligence investigations related to title, zoning, permitting, and environmental compliance to support land acquisitions and developments. Liaise with financial institutions, banks, NBFCs, investors, and developers to ensure proper legal structuring and documentation of financing deals. Provide end-to-end legal support for real estate transactions including pre-deal assessments, negotiations, closings, and post-deal documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable property, tax, regulatory, and land laws including RERA, stamp duty, and registration norms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, development, sales) to facilitate smooth execution of real estate projects. Represent the organization in legal proceedings, hearings, or mediations related to real estate matters, as needed. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in property law, banking regulations, and financial legalities impacting real estate deals. Required Skills & Qualifications: LLB/LLM from a recognized university with 3-7 years of experience in real estate law, particularly with a focus on financing. In-depth knowledge of Indian real estate laws, contract law, property registration procedures, and financial instruments. Proven track record of handling real estate transactions involving project financing, leasebacks, or asset securitization. Experience negotiating with institutional investors, private equity firms, and financial institutions. Strong legal drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously under tight deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a business-oriented mindset. Preferred: Prior experience at a top-tier law firm or with a real estate developer or financial institution.
