The opportunity:

You will be part of the G&PQSS R&D team and report to the R&D Product Line Mgr for G&PQSS. Grid Solutions. This is a visible role in a truly global and cross-functional environment, working in close collaboration with Engineering Centre’s, Operating Units, Centre of Competencies (CoC) across the globe.

How you’ll make an impact:Able to lead a team with strong people management skills, to deliver the value, expected from the team. The team manager is expected to define and implement both long term and short-term strategies, for the team, as per the overall organization strategyEnsure that team has direction, scope clarity, and resources to deliver results, with realistic estimates for timelines, to meet deadlines.Coaching and guiding your team to business targetsContinuous improvements and operational development, contribute and drive long term strategic initiativesBe a positive role model for your team by living our vision, delivering promises, and developing people.Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.Living Hitachi energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.Your Background:Bachelor’s or master’s degree or higher in electrical, mechanical or industrial engineering or similar.Should have 10+ years of overall experience.Should have project management or Line management experience, preferably in globally distributed organizations.Should have good technical background in Substation design and commissioning.Work experience in managing transmission substation engineering, design & commissioning teams / projects.Proven experience working with multi-cultural, geographical distributed teams.Excellent spoken and written communication abilities in English.
