- Strong knowledge of financial instruments, with some relevant work experience and/or relevant internship experience preferred.

Qualifications
- Postgraduate or graduate with minimum 2 years’ experience with good academic record.
RoleAs a Ratings Operations Specialist II, you will work in a dedicated team supporting a global process, entering financial data into Moody’s internal databases. In this role, you will be required to understand an operational process, perform market data research, navigate various data environments to make data updates, perform data integrity checks, interpret policies and procedures, provide a high level of service and track and report on activity.
Responsibilities
- Support global processing of ratings through various backend activities that include but not limited to monitoring mailbox, data feed and other periodic report to identify in-scope candidates for the process and searching documents on different data sources.
- Review of lengthy debt documents and rating relevant provisions within the deal documents or pricing supplements for new debt set up, debt updates (e.g., amendments, additional offerings etc.).
- Determine qualification using defined criteria for current published rating or whether analysis is required by Lead Analyst.
- Responsible for applying various rules, guidelines & procedures to a subset of issuance submitted for rating assignment.
- Monitors designated mailboxes to ensure timely and effective handling of internal and external client requests. Organizes work to meet deadlines and time sensitive requests/projects. Demonstrates flexibility with last minute changes in commitments and deadlines.
- Continue to develop broad based knowledge of financial instruments, terminology, and related business practices.
- Facilitates resolution to technical issues and/or more complex external inquiries with supervision by Ratings Operations Associate/ Team Leader.
- Builds strong stakeholder relationships and delivers professional, high-quality service across many transactions.
- Places interest of the team above individual self-interest. Willing to accept new challenges and contributes positively to the team even under pressure or when performing routine and/or administrative tasks.
- Demonstrates increasing awareness of procedures, guidelines, and regulatory requirements as it pertains to their job function by asking relevant questions.
- Liaison with Rating Teams and other Moody’s departments (Commercial, Information Technology, etc.) as required.

The Rating Desk Services (RDS) is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of subsequent ratings for the approved RDS products, which include a range of data, documentation reviews, and assessment decisions based on guidance and procedures. RDS does not make any analytical judgments nor conduct analytical work, these tasks are undertaken by a credit rating analyst. The department works closely with the lines of business to improve both business processes and data quality across the rating lifecycle.
