At Cairn, we are committed to playing a lead role in strengthening energy security for country and geared up towards contributing half of India’s oil and gas production We’re looking for a Quality Manager to lead the Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) efforts for an exciting new offshore platform and subsea pipeline installation project. This position is responsible for ensuring that all construction, procurement, fabrication, and installation activities, meet the highest industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of experience in the offshore oil and gas sector, specifically in quality management related to procurement, fabrication, and T&I operations. The role demands strong leadership and an in-depth understanding of offshore project quality management systems, including experience in ensuring quality compliance across multiple phases of project execution. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) for the offshore platform and subsea pipeline project, ensuring that it aligns with company and regulatory requirements. Define quality standards and ensure that procurement, fabrication, and installation activities follow these standards. Conduct quality audits across various project stages (procurement, fabrication, transportation, installation) and provide actionable feedback to ensure compliance with the project’s quality plans. Ensure that all procurement activities, including the purchase of materials, components, and equipment, comply with quality specifications and relevant standards (e.g., ISO, API, ASME). Oversee the fabrication quality control processes in the yard, ensuring that materials and equipment are fabricated according to approved procedures, drawings, and codes. Review and approve vendor documentation, including material certifications, welding procedures, and quality control reports, ensuring full compliance with project specifications Offshore Construction & T&I Quality Oversight Inspection & Testing Management Non-Conformance & Corrective Action Ideal Candidate Has: Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Marine Engineering. Preferred: Certifications in Quality Assurance (ISO 9001, Six Sigma, CQI). Mandatory: BOSIET/HUET, Offshore Medical, and NACE (or equivalent for coatings/corrosion inspection). Experience: 12+ years in offshore oil & gas, with proven expertise in QA/QC for procurement, fabrication, and transportation & installation (T&I). Hands-on experience with offshore platforms and subsea pipeline projects (including new builds and tie-ins). Technical Knowledge: Proficient in quality standards/codes: ISO 9001, ASME, API, DNV GL, NACE, AWS. Strong understanding of welding, coatings, and offshore construction quality processes. Skills & Competencies: Effective leadership of cross-functional QA/QC teams. Skilled in QMS tools, inspection systems, and platforms like SAP, Aconex. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities in high-pressure environments.
