The ideal candidate shall be leading the Marine function and will be responsible for safe operation of vessels & associated operations in Offshore Business Unit of Company. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for driving safe & smooth Marine operations with expert advice and technical due diligence for all marine operations.Establish an assurance plan for Hired Marine assets. The role requires deep technical knowledge, leadership in offshore execution, and a solid understanding of subsea engineering and marine operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all phases of the offshore pipeline construction lifecycle, including transportation, laying, tie-ins, trenching, backfilling, testing, and pre-commissioning. This position is key to ensuring the safe, timely, and high-quality delivery of subsea infrastructure that forms the backbone of hydrocarbon transport from offshore production facilities to processing or export points. Key Responsibilities: Subsea Pipeline T&I Management: Oversee the end-to-end offshore transportation and installation of subsea pipelines, including line pipe handling, spooling, and mobilization of marine spreads. Manage pipeline installation operations using S-lay, J-lay, or reel-lay methods, depending on project design. Coordinate loadout of pipes and ancillaries, sea fastening, and transportation to offshore location. Supervise critical operations such as pipe laying, midline tie-ins, pre- and post-lay survey, trenching, and backfilling. Execution Planning & Marine Logistics: Review and approve contractor installation procedures, project-specific method statements, and marine spread configurations. Ensure proper sequencing and alignment of offshore pipeline works with platform connections, risers, and subsea assets. Lead and participate in readiness reviews, marine vessel audits, and offshore SIMOPS planning with platform and subsea teams. Offshore Construction Supervision: Manage offshore teams during critical construction phases, including welding, NDT, field joint coating, and installation of pipeline components (tees, end terminations, buckle arrestors, etc.). Ensure correct installation tolerances, seabed alignment, free span management, and cathodic protection systems are achieved. Coordinate with diving, ROV, and survey teams during installation and subsea intervention scopes. Safety, Quality & Compliance: Enforce strict compliance with HSE requirements, marine construction regulations, and environmental controls during offshore activities. Lead risk assessments, toolbox talks, and emergency drills onboard construction vessels and barges. Ensure all pipeline installation activities conform to project specifications, DNV-ST-F101, API standards, and client QA/QC requirements. Project Coordination & Reporting: Serve as the key interface between the project team, contractors, marine operations, survey groups, and client representatives during offshore execution. Provide daily offshore reports, installation records, NCR logs, and progress updates to onshore project management. Ensure accurate documentation, as-built data collection, and contribute to project close-out and lessons learned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Civil, Marine, or Subsea Engineering from a recognized institution. Advanced training or certification in offshore pipeline installation or marine operations is highly preferred. Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience in offshore oil and gas construction with a strong focus on subsea pipeline transportation and installation (T&I). Tax Compliance & Operations Manage all direct and indirect tax compliance, including corporate income tax, VAT/GST, customs, withholding, and excise taxes. Ensure timely and accurate filing of all required tax returns and related disclosures in all jurisdictions where the unit operates. Maintain and update policies and procedures to ensure consistent compliance with applicable tax requirements. Implement robust controls and tax risk management practices to minimize exposure to audit adjustments, penalties, and interest. 2.
