Job Title: Quality Lead

Location: Chennai, India

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Lead to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Selenium and SQL, coupled with leadership skills to manage a QA team and drive quality initiatives across projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.
Design and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies for functional, integration, and regression testing.
Perform automation testing using Selenium WebDriver, ensuring scalability and maintainability of scripts.
Utilize SQL for data validation, backend testing, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Managers) to identify and resolve issues.
Define and monitor QA metrics to measure quality and report progress to stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
Ensure compliance with all quality processes throughout the SDLC.

Required Skills & Qualifications

8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Testing, with at least 2+ years in a lead role.
Strong hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver for automation testing.
Proficiency in SQL for database validation and data integrity checks.
Solid understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) and defect management processes.
Experience with tools like JIRA, TestNG, Maven, and CI/CD environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Nice to Have

Exposure to API Testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured.
Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
