Quality Engineer

We are seeking two "hardcore" QA Automation Test Engineers with extensive, hands-on experience in ETL, database, and SQL testing. The ideal candidates will be passionate about data quality and will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive automation test strategies to validate our complex data pipelines. You will be a key player in our data engineering team, ensuring that every piece of data is accurate, consistent, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities:

• ETL and Data Pipeline Testing:

• Design and implement end-to-end automation test frameworks for ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) processes to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and completeness.
• Develop and execute test cases to verify business logic and transformation rules for complex data sets.
• Conduct data reconciliation and validation between source and target systems, and identify data discrepancies.

• Database and SQL Expertise:

• Write complex

  SQL queries

  (joins, subqueries, analytical functions) to validate data at different stages of the data warehouse.
• Perform database performance testing, including stress and load testing on database queries and stored procedures.
• Automate testing of stored procedures, functions, and triggers to ensure they perform as expected.
• Validate data schema, constraints, and referential integrity across multiple databases.

• Automation and Framework Development:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance robust automation test suites using programming languages like

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback.
• Utilize automation tools and frameworks specifically designed for data validation and API testing (e.g., Pytest, TestNG).
• Maintain detailed documentation of automation scripts, test plans, and test results.

• Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Business Analysts to understand data models and business requirements.
• Analyze, report, and track defects and testing progress using tools like JIRA.
• Provide clear and concise status updates and participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning.
