Job Title: Quality Control Supervisor
Location: Bengaluru, India
Salary Range: ₹3,60,000 - ₹4,80,000 per annum (based on experience and fit)
Department: Quality Control / Production
Reports To: Sr. Production Manager
Job Summary: The Quality Control Manager will lead the establishment and end-to-end management of the quality control (QC) process for our manufacturing operations. This role will drive defect monitoring and analysis, collaborate with production and procurement teams to improve yield, and implement robust QC guardrails. The ideal candidate will have high ownership, proven track record in quality systems, data-driven defect management, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality management systems (QMS), policies, and procedures in alignment with manufacturing and ISO 9001 requirements. Establish quality inspection standards and testing protocols for incoming materials, in-process goods, and finished products.
· Analyze defect data to identify root causes and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
· Maintain detailed documentation of quality reports, inspection records, and corrective action logs.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 3S & 5S, PFMEA, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, etc) aimed at optimizing processes, reducing defects and improving process yield.
· Train line operators and supervisors on quality best practices and defect identification techniques.
· Track key performance metrics such as defect rate, yield improvement, turnaround time (TAT), and rework percentage.
· Coordinate with the procurement and stores teams to inspect and address material quality issues arising from supplier shipments.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
· 2–4 years of experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG sectors.
· Proven experience in setting up and managing QC systems.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
· Familiarity with quality tools such as 7 QC tools, PDCA, Root Cause Analysis, and 5 Whys.
· Excellent coordination and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
