About the Company :

Farmbook Farmer Producer Company is located near Nandapur village in Koraput District, Odisha. It is a Turmeric, Ginger and Other spices processing plant company. It is involved in transforming raw turmeric and ginger roots into various high value products such as turmeric powder, turmeric oil, oleoresin, capsules and even curcumin extract . Farmbook FPC procures raw materials from farmers and processes such as drying,polishing,grinding,capsuling and packaging.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to oversee and manage all QC activities in our spice and oleoresin processing unit. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in pharmaceutical or agro-processing industries, with specific expertise in spice processing, particularly turmeric oleoresin and curcumin production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Quality Control Department to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
• Develop and implement QC procedures for raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
• Supervise laboratory analysis, sampling, and testing of products, especially turmeric oleoresin and curcumin extracts.
• Ensure products meet FSSAI, ISO, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and maintain documentation, COAs, test reports, and retain samples.
• Review analytical data and ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Coordinate with production, R&D, and QA teams to maintain consistent product quality.
• Conduct root cause analysis for non-conformance and implement corrective actions.
• Provide training to QC staff and ensure adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
• Liaise with external testing laboratories and regulatory agencies when required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Technology, or related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in Quality Control in pharmaceutical, agro-processing, or spice extraction industries.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in turmeric oleoresin, curcumin, and spice extract QC.
• Good knowledge of analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, UV, etc.) and method validation.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP, and FSSAI standards.
• Excellent leadership, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience handling spice processing QC operations (turmeric, pepper, chili, oleoresin).
• Understanding of regulatory compliance for export markets.
• Ability to handle audits and customer quality visits.
• Hands-on experience with analytical instruments and lab management software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
