Having expertise in handling measuring instruments like Vernier caliper, Height gauge (TRIMOS), Micrometer, Radius Gauge, Go-No Go Gauge, Thread Gauge, Slip Gauges, Profile projector, Hardness Tester- etc. Knowledge of GD&T. Define measurement strategy. Stage inspection of Machined part as per drawing and give first piece approval. Ensure Product & Process characteristics for In-process management at Shop floor. Maintain Quality documents. Rejection analysis of ongoing process & control. Prepare Rejection Report & Quality Performance Report on daily basis Responsible for Rework and Rejection (Yellow/Red bin) analysis at shop floor & initiate CAPA. In-process manufacturing of the products and their online inspection. 100 % Visual Inspection. Root Cause analysis using problem solving tools like 7QC Tools, 8D, Why-Why Analysis and coordinate with production team. Follow-up of Corrective and Preventive Action Implementation. Job Title: Operations Manager CNC- VMC Manufacturing Unit Location : [Kathwada GIDC – Ahmedabad] Department : Manufacturing / Operations Reports to : Plant Head / General Manager / Director of Operations Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced operations manager to oversee the daily operations of our CNC-VMC based manufacturing unit . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision engineering, lean manufacturing, and team leadership. This role is responsible for production planning, quality control, maintenance, cost management, and continuous improvement initiatives within the CNC - VMC machining environment. Key Responsibilities : 1. Production & Planning Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer delivery timelines. Monitor and optimize CNC - VMC machining processes for efficiency and output. Ensure proper resource allocation (manpower, machines, and materials) to meet targets. 2. Quality Management Enforce quality control standards and inspection processes. Coordinate with QA/QC team to reduce rejection rates and improve first-pass yield. Implement root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues. 3. Process Improvement Drive lean manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen initiatives. Analyze production bottlenecks and propose solutions for continuous improvement. Implement new CNC- VMC technologies and automation where feasible. 4. Team Management Supervise and mentor production supervisors, CNC-VMC operators, and technical staff. Conduct training programs for up skilling and safety compliance. Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety. 5. Maintenance & Safety Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance of CNC-VMC machines. Collaborate with the maintenance department to reduce machine downtime. Enforce safety protocols and compliance with statutory regulations. 6. Cost & Inventory Control Monitor operational budgets, reduce waste, and control production costs. Oversee raw material planning, inventory levels, and procurement coordination. Track KPIs such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), downtime, and yield. Key Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Production Engineering (Master's preferred). Minimum 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, specifically in CNC –VMC machining. Strong knowledge of CNC-VMC programming, machine tools (lathe, milling, turning centers), and tooling. Proficient in ERP/MRP systems, production planning tools, and quality systems (ISO 9001, etc.). Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Certifications : Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing / TPM / 5S ISO/TS/AS Quality Management Systems Candidate Must Be Ready for, 1. Candidate with 2 Years of experience in VMC programming, should be able to do programming & prove out of component independently. Knowledge of Cutting Tools and Cutting Parameters. Knowledge of CAM Software - SolidCAM / MasterCAM / Delcam Knowledge of G Code - M Code. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings. Proven experience as CNC/VMC operator. Experience of Control like HAAS, Mitsubishi and Fanuc. Expertise in operating CNC machine and tooling as well as precision measurement tools Knowledge of GD&T. Coordinate with QC team and ensure Quality of parts. Mechanical Engineering skill and good mathematical skill. Good communication abilities. A keen eye for detail and result-driven approach.

Competence in reading and understanding engineering drawings. 8. Basic computer knowledge, including an understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM. 9.
