Quality Control Manager

ProV Foods is an integrated healthy foods conglomerate based in Mumbai, specializing in dry fruits and staples. Every ProV product undergoes stringent quality controls to ensure the highest quality natural produce reaches our customers.

We are currently looking for a Quality Control Manager who has a specialization in Food Safety & Quality control for our Kopar Khairane Plant.

Brief layout of duties and responsibilities:

• Quality System Management:

   Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) like FSSC 22000, BRC

• Regulatory Compliance:

  Ensure all products and manufacturing processes comply with standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements. Like SEDEX

• Auditing:

   Conduct internal audits to assess compliance and performance, and manage external audits.

• Quality Control:

  Oversee the implementation of inspection, testing, and evaluation methods for raw materials, in-process goods, and final products.

• Data Analysis:

   Collect, analyze, and summarize data to monitor performance, identify weaknesses, and produce statistical reports.

• Process Improvement:

  Lead continuous improvement projects using methodologies like Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma to reduce waste and increase efficiency.

• Supplier Quality:

   Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements for suppliers and ensure new raw materials are qualified.

• Training and Leadership:

   Train quality control and production staff on quality standards and procedures, and provide leadership to the quality team.

• Documentation:

   Establish and maintain control and documentation procedures for quality records.

• Collaboration:

  Partner with other departments, including production, product development, and supply chain, to ensure quality is built into every stage of the product lifecycle. 

Required skills and qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory requirements relevant to the industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop a team.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
• Experience with quality improvement frameworks like Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is often preferred.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical reporting
• Must have a team handling experience

Job Location :

This is a plant level job which requires 6 days a week working occupancy.
