Location: Noida / Hybrid Experience: 1–2 years Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and driven Quality Assurance Engineer to join us as the first QA hire in our growing startup. This is a unique opportunity to lead and build the QA function from the ground up . You will be responsible for designing and implementing testing processes, identifying quality gaps, and ensuring that all products meet our standards for reliability and performance. Though you bring 1–2 years of experience, we’re looking for someone with strong ownership, a problem-solving mindset, and the potential to grow into a leadership role as the team scales. Key Responsibilities: Establish and own QA processes, strategies, and tools for the full development lifecycle. Design and execute manual and automated test plans for web/mobile applications and APIs. Set up and maintain test environments and frameworks. Detect, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA or similar. Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to ensure high-quality releases. Integrate testing into CI/CD workflows. Maintain detailed documentation: test cases, scripts, and quality metrics. Help shape the future QA team and mentor junior engineers as the team grows. Required Qualifications: 1–2 years of professional experience in software testing or QA. Strong understanding of QA methodologies, processes, and tools. Experience with writing and maintaining test cases, test plans, and bug reports. Familiarity with test and issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail). Hands-on experience with Jest for unit and component testing in frontend development. Familiarity with testing React components. Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment. Bonus Points (Preferred Skills): Experience working in early-stage startups or in greenfield QA setups. Knowledge of scripting or development languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python). Understanding of Express.js and how to test backend routes and middleware. Familiarity with Playwright or Selenium for end-to-end testing.
