Quality Assurance Manager (Industrial Electronics Manufacturing)

Role objective:

Lead and enhance QA processes in SMT and panel manufacturing. Ensure product reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement aligned with global quality standards

Key responsibilities:

Quality management

• Oversee QMS for SMT and automation panels per ISO 9001, IPC, IEC, UL, and CE
• Manage SMT line QA: solder paste, component placement, reflow soldering
• Conduct audits, track KPIs, and ensure corrective/preventive actions
• Integrate CMMI Level 3 practices; manage incoming quality control

Project & customer quality

• Define QA plans from design to delivery for customer projects
• Drive design reviews, FMEA, validation, traceability, and documentation
• Interface with clients for quality compliance, testing, and resolution

Leadership & training

• Lead QC team; train staff on QA procedures and standards
• Build a quality-focused culture across production, engineering & procurement

Process improvement

• Implement Lean, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and process optimization
• Maintain test procedures, work instructions, and quality records

Compliance & certifications

• Ensure multi-standard compliance: ISO 9001, ISO 27001, CMMI L3, TIA 942, EHS
• Lead internal audits, management reviews, and support external audits

Required qualifications:

• B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
• 5–7 years in QA within electronics manufacturing (SMT, PCB, or panels)
• Experience in quality systems, customer audits, and team leadership
• Strong in ISO 9001, IPC standards, SMT processes, QA tools (SPC, FMEA)

Preferred:

• Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, ISO/CMMI Auditor certifications
• Experience with medical, aerospace, or automotive QA standards
• Familiarity with Panasonic/Fuji/ASM SMT equipment and APQP/ PPAP
