Job Description

Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

Location: Kochi - WFO
Experience: 3+ years
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with around 3 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in testing web applications, hands-on experience in automation testing, and a keen eye for ensuring software quality across all stages of the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web applications.
Perform manual testing (functional, regression, integration, cross-browser, UI/UX validation).
Build and maintain automation test frameworks and suites for regression and functional testing.
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.
Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
Conduct API testing and validate integrations between components.
Participate in code reviews for automation scripts and ensure adherence to best practices.
Contribute to continuous integration and delivery pipelines (CI/CD) with automated testing.
Provide feedback on usability and suggest improvements for product quality.
Prepare and present detailed test reports, metrics, and quality dashboards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in QA/testing with a focus on web applications.
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies (Agile, SDLC, STLC).
Experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, or JUnit.
Proficiency in manual testing, writing detailed test cases, and executing them.
Solid understanding of API testing (Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI, etc.).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Good to Have

Experience with performance/load testing tools (JMeter, Locust, Gatling).
Knowledge of SQL/database testing.
Exposure to cloud-based applications (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Understanding of security testing basics.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

Kochi, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
