About the Role: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our home inspection team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and overall quality of residential and commercial buildings by performing comprehensive inspections across key structural and service elements, including flooring, plumbing, electrical systems, hardware fittings, and moisture-related issues such as seepage and dampness. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough on-site inspections of homes and buildings to assess: Flooring (tiling, alignment, gaps, material quality) Structural integrity (cracks, settlement, visible defects) Plumbing systems (leak detection, flow tests, fittings, drainage) Electrical systems (wiring, sockets, switches, MCBs, load balancing) Hardware fittings (doors, windows, handles, hinges, locks) Seepage and dampness (walls, ceilings, bathrooms, basements) Use industry-standard tools and equipment for accurate quality checks (moisture meters, levels, thermal cameras, etc.) Identify deviations from building codes, construction standards, and project specifications. Prepare detailed inspection reports with photographic evidence and recommendations for rectification or preventive measures. Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and clients to explain inspection findings and suggest improvements. Ensure that all inspections comply with applicable safety regulations, quality standards, and local building codes. Continuously update knowledge on latest construction techniques, materials, and inspection practices. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Proven experience in quality assurance, site supervision, or home/building inspections. Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, building codes, and best practices. Familiarity with inspection tools and software (moisture meters, thermal scanners, spirit levels, etc.) Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Good communication skills – verbal and written.
