About the Role:

QA Engineer – Automation Focus

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for UI, API, and backend testing.
Build and execute automated test scripts using
Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, Page Object, and Page Factory
.
Develop and maintain robust
API test suites
using
Rest Assured, JUnit, Mockito, and Spring Boot
.
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including
RTM, Test Plans, Test Strategy, and Test Cases
.
Perform defect tracking, root cause analysis, and regression testing in CI/CD pipelines.
Identify gaps in test coverage, recommend process improvements, and champion automation best practices.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, grooming, retrospectives) to contribute to product quality early in the cycle.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or related field.
4+ years
of hands-on experience in quality engineering and software testing.
Strong programming proficiency in
Java
.
Solid experience with automation frameworks and tools:
Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, Page Object Design Pattern, Page Factory
.
Proficiency in
API/backend automation
using tools/technologies such as
Rest Assured, JUnit, Mockito, Spring Boot, or Cucumber
.
Strong knowledge of
SDLC, STLC, QA methodologies
, and
Agile/Scrum practices
.
Hands-on experience with
CI/CD tools
(e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or similar).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-Have (Good to Bring):

Experience with
cloud-based testing platforms
(e.g., Sauce Labs, BrowserStack).
Knowledge of
performance or security testing
tools.
Exposure to
containerized environments
(Docker, Kubernetes) and test execution in such setups.
