QC Manager

Job Purpose:

To lead and manage the Quality Control team ensuring all mould base components meet internal and customer quality standards through rigorous inspection, testing, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Quality Management & Control:

• Develop, implement, and monitor quality control processes for all stages of mould base manufacturing.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and customer specifications.
• Prepare and maintain Quality Control Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).

✅ Team Management:

• Lead and train the QC team including inspectors and quality engineers.
• Assign responsibilities and conduct performance reviews.
• Ensure a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

✅ Inspection & Testing:

• Oversee dimensional inspection of mould base plates, cavity/core, and accessories.
• Perform root cause analysis for rejections and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain calibration records and proper functioning of all measuring equipment.

✅ Documentation & Reporting:

• Prepare Quality Reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action).
• Maintain inspection records, test results, and supplier quality reports.

✅ Customer & Supplier Interaction:

• Handle customer audits and quality complaints.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the quality of raw materials and outsourced components.

✅ Process Improvement:

• Identify quality improvement opportunities in processes and suggest preventive measures.
• Lead initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing for quality enhancement.

Key Instruments & Tools Knowledge:

• Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges
• Bore Gauges, Depth Gauges, Slip Gauges
• CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
• Surface Roughness Tester, Hardness Tester
• Profile Projector, Dial Gauges, Granite Surface Plate

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of mould base manufacturing processes.
• Excellent understanding of machining and grinding tolerances.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015, quality systems, and documentation.
• Analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Leadership & team management.
• Good communication and reporting skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
• 5 to 8+ years of experience in quality control, preferably in mould base or precision machining industry.
• Experience in managing a quality control team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
