QC Head

*Job Title*: QC Head – Chemical Manufacturing

*Location*: Jangalpur Factory (Jalan Industrial Complex )

*Department*: Quality Control (QC)

*Job Purpose*

The QC Head will be responsible for leading the Quality Control department, ensuring that all chemical products meet required quality standards, supervising the chemist team, managing duty rosters, maintaining chemical testing equipment, and implementing quality assurance procedures in compliance with industry standards and company policies.

*Key Responsibilities*

1. *Team Leadership & Management*

* Lead, manage, and mentor the entire team of chemists and QC staff.

* Prepare and manage duty rosters to ensure proper staffing across shifts.

* Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback and development plans.

* Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations by the QC team.

2. *Quality Control Operations*

* Oversee daily chemical testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.

* Implement and maintain standardized testing procedures and protocols.

* Evaluate and approve all test reports before release of products.

* Investigate and resolve quality deviations, customer complaints, and non-conformances.

3. *Equipment Management*

* Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and operation of all chemical testing equipment.

* Maintain an updated inventory of QC instruments and ensure periodic calibration.

* Coordinate with the maintenance team for repair and preventive maintenance of QC equipment.

4. *Documentation & Reporting*

* Maintain accurate and updated QC records, test reports, and certificates of analysis (COAs).

* Prepare regular reports on QC performance, deviations, and improvements.

* Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory documentation requirements.

5. *Continuous Improvement*

* Implement best practices and suggest process improvements in testing and quality control methods.

* Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in chemical testing.

* Lead internal quality audits and coordinate with external agencies during inspections.

*Qualification & Experience*

* Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field (M.Sc. or equivalent preferred).

* Minimum *8-10 years of experience in chemical manufacturing industry, with at least **3 years in a supervisory or managerial QC role*.

* Strong knowledge of chemical testing methods, quality standards (ISO, GMP, etc.), and regulatory compliance.

* Proven experience in handling QC teams and duty rosters in a manufacturing environment.

* Good knowledge of chemical testing instruments and their calibration.
