Job Description

Internal QC / QA Engineer / Supervisor

Ensure all internal construction activities (materials, workmanship, methods) conform to internal quality policies, project specifications, and applicable codes and standards. Prevent defects before external audits; maintain high quality and reduce rework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enforce internal quality plans: Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, Work Procedures.
  • Ensure that all materials procured comply with internal quality standards; perform incoming material inspections.
  • Oversee calibration, maintenance, and use of measurement/testing equipment.
  • Monitor workmanship and construction activities on-site: ensure they follow drawings, specifications, approved method statements.
  • Conduct regular internal inspections and audits to check adherence to internal standards.
  • Detect non-conformities early; raise Internal Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and track corrective/preventive actions.
  • Maintain complete documentation: inspection reports, NCRs, MIR (Material Inspection Reports), IR (Inspection Requests), ITP records.
  • Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, vendors/subcontractors to ensure compliance with internal QA/QC procedures.
  • Participate in project meetings; provide internal quality status reports regularly (weekly, monthly).
  • Continuous improvement: suggest improvements in processes, material selection, workmanship based on trends.
  • Support training/awareness programs for site staff about quality policies, best practices, internal standards.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Structural / Architecture / Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience (usually 3-8+ years) in site quality control in construction projects.
  • Familiarity with local and international codes / standards relevant to constructions (e.g. IS codes, ASTM, BS, etc.).
  • Good understanding of material testing, workmanship standards, inspections.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills, ability to work with teams and across disciplines (site engineers, procurement, vendor).
  • Document control skills.

External QC / QA Inspector

Purpose:

Ensure that construction works delivered (by contractor) meet the external or client wanted quality standards, contractual specifications, codes, safety and regulatory requirements. Validate and certify that delivered works are as per agreed standards. Act as an external audit or oversight body.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve contractors’ / vendors’ quality plans, submissions, inspection & test plans, method statements from the perspective of contract/client requirements.
  • Attend and witness key inspections, tests, and hold‐point activities as per contract / inspection & test plans.
  • Approve or reject works/materials delivered; raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for external issues.
  • Coordinate / attend external audits / inspections by client, consultants, regulatory authorities. Ensure compliance during those audits.
  • Ensure that all QC documentation required by the contract / client (inspection reports, test certificates, client as-built documents etc.) are correctly submitted, stored, and valid (e.g. calibration, traceability).
  • Liaise between contractor, client, and consultant to resolve discrepancies, defects or deficiencies. Follow up corrective and preventive actions.
  • Reporting: provide external QC status reports, audit findings, progress on NCRs, quality compliance to client or consultant.
  • Ensure contractor’s work conforms to external specifications, codes, safety, regulatory norms.
  • Validate final deliverables, approval of the finished works, possibly for handover.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Similar educational background (Civil / Structural / Engineering).
  • Good experience in external QA/QC / oversight roles; familiar with client / consultant expectations.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable contracts, codes, regulatory/safety standards.
  • Independent judgement, ability to raise non‐compliance issues.
  • Good communication, negotiation skills to interface with contractor, consultant, client.
  • Documentation, auditing skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,116.34 - ₹61,999.33 per month
